APPARENTLY, COOKING SPRAY DOESN’T HELP get goats out of trees. At least that’s the lesson learnt by 59-year-old Alysia Krafel, from Red Bluff, California. Arriving home, Krafel found ‘King George’, her 98-kilogram goat, hanging from an oak tree by a hoof. Evidently, after climbing up in the tree to eat leaves, it slipped and got hooked up. “I sprayed cooking oil all over everything to try and grease it,” she said, “but that didn’t help him get free.” Krafel and a neighbor had to cut the tree down to release the animal. A reporter asked her if the goat learned a lesson from the ordeal …
“Well no,” she said – “He’s a goat.” Duh! (RC/Red Bluff Daily News)
